Buying loose resin and replacing it yourself saves you approximately 25%, compared to the cartridge replacements. Changing the resin couldn't be easier. Simply unscrew the watertight housings and remove the spent cartridge. Properly dispose the used resin, rinse cartridge, and refill with new resin. Then, put the cartridges back inside the housings and reattach it to the body of the unit. It's just that easy. You'll receive two replacement bags that will de-ionize up to 100 gallons or 300 gallons (based on the size you select and your local water quality).
