The DeWalt 849 Variable Speed Polisher is one of DeWalt's best with all ball-bearing construction, an 8 amp motor, and heat-treated, precision cut gears. It was one of the first variable speed polishers used by professional detailers and remains a prominent fixture in many garages today. DeWalt set the standard with this polisher and subsequent polishers have failed to improve on the durable construction of this old standby.
